NOT ACTIVE – Senior Marketing Executive – £40,000/yr-£50,000/yr plus £10k Bonus

This is a rare chance to take on a Senior marketing position where what you do will make a measurable difference.

You’ll join a small recruitment business that, over 5 years, has built a big reputation in the data science sector. Part of a ten-strong team, you’ll be our very first marketing hire – a vital source support for our CEO who currently orchestrates all our marketing activity.

It’s a highly visible, valuable role. You’ll clearly see the impact you make – on our brand awareness and in the new clients we bring in. Perhaps that’s the kind of accountability you’re missing if you’ve been working with a big company or a cog in a wider marketing team.

What you can add

In a nutshell, you’ll produce co-ordinate and distribute all our written marketing activity (online and offline) – anything that helps us enhance our reputation as the experts in data science and AI recruitment.

There’s a lot to do – a lot to learn.

Top of your list: Creating integrated marketing campaigns and writing copy for digital content and sales material – This includes social media posts, job adverts, client adverts and sales copy, email marketing and direct mail campaigns.

Next – growing the listenership of our new podcast. We’re excited about the podcast; there’s plenty of potential here. You’ll help us develop a strong presence on social media (mainly LinkedIn & Youtube) as well as liaising with external agencies to create PPC campaigns and repurpose podcast content into engaging written articles.

Alongside that, you’ll co-ordinate the distribution of online content. That could mean sourcing and sharing industry news, researching and recommending marketing collateral or planning and delivering direct mail campaigns.

You’ll use your judgement to identify sales material that works across different media and to find content providers who can crystalise our offer. Confidently managing relationships with external suppliers is another aspect of the role – we already work with an ad agency and a CRO company.

Last but not least, you’ll support the CEO and by providing planning, reporting and research that informs our marketing strategy and help us to measure and monitor its effectiveness – a chance to develop your strategic skills.

All in all, it’s an ideal role for a 4+ years experience marketing specialist who loves the written word and wants to build their practical skills and develop their strategic understanding. As we grow, you could quickly progress with us to a Team leader role or, in time, a marketing or head of marketing manager role.

We really need you to have experience in delivering strong sales growth in a previous position in a Digital, Technology or B2B service industry sector.

  • 3 days per week minimum in the office
