NOT ACTIVE – Scrum Master – €84,000 – €109,000 + 10% bonus

Here’s a chance to use your scrum master skills to accelerate the adoption of Agile principles and impact the development of digital products with the power to improve human and animal health. A vital, valuable role.

About the role

Agile isn’t embedded here – but it is embraced. This is a family-owned global pharmaceutical business where people are driven by the same common purpose: applying scientific innovation to tackle tomorrow’s health challenges.

That means your challenge as a Scrum Master is a positive one. Less persuading people of the benefits of Agile; more educating, coaching

and guiding key stakeholders to adopt an effective mindset.

You’ll be working in a particularly forward-thinking part of the business that’s focused on digital product development – a new area of exploration for them.

Part of the company’s Agile Coaching Chapter, you’ll work closely with Agile teams made up of Software Developers, Product Owners, UX Designers, Data Scientists and Digital Innovation Scouts on end-to-end product development spanning a fascinating range of emerging digital health technology.

The products you help to progress have the power to greatly impact human and animal health. Current applications include connecting pet owners with veterinary care, speech recognition systems to spot the early signs of dementia, genome analysis to speed disease discovery, and digital stroke rehabilitation. The possibilities are endless – and you’ll help to realise them.

As for the future? Agile coaching and Scrum Master skills are in high demand across the whole organisation so success in this role will open up lots of development opportunities.

What you need

Timescales are tight and most products are in their infancy. That makes this an ideal move for someone who’s comfortable working with uncertainty and change, and confident in forming teams and putting in place structures and processes.

Experience working on early-stage digital product development is key, including an understanding of the metrics required, the process of forming product teams, hypothesis testing, and developing MVPs. Beyond that, we’re looking for as many of the following skills as possible:

  • Experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach working with digital product development teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills; if you’ve coached junior product owners before, that would be very useful.
  • Experience in working with digital products (web, cloud, etc)
  • Experience with a focus on early product development (knowledge of principles such as Lean UX, hypothesis testing, MVP development, innovation workshops)

About the business

You’ll be joining a global top-20 pharma business with a research-driven focus on innovative therapies that can extend patients’ lives. The company is family-owned so people are free to pursue long-term goals, not focused on delivering short-term shareholder returns. All in all, it’s a fantastic place to develop your career.
