Are you continuously looking at ways to improve your career?

Consider yourself to be a trailblazer?

We want to grow, manage, and mentor a recruitment delivery unit and sourcing team from 9 to 40 people within the next 3 years. Think you can do it?

As the Head of Recruitment Delivery for a niche tech recruitment company, you’re essentially the glue that holds the heart of the business together.

But we’re not your average recruitment company – we do things differently.

And here’s why:

  • No cold-calling: our model is unique. The sales and marketing teams generate new business, leaving your team to focus on critical delivery.
  • We have a dedicated sourcing team that provides a pipeline of candidates for each assignment.
  • In the autumn, we’re due to launch a brand-new, pioneering data science profiler tool to give us even more edge to our offer.
  • We have a renowned Data Scientist working for us full time to guide and ensure our knowledge is ahead of the curve.
  • Our business model is grounded in marketing, with experienced industry professionals developing the strategy and writing the adverts.
  • Every employee (from junior to senior) has a £3k training budget.
  • We offer a flexible working environment to accommodate individual needs.

The US Bureau of Labour Statistics predicts that the Data Science sector will grow by about 28% by 2026. That represents about 11.5 million jobs worldwide.

With us, you’ll have the opportunity to work in this fast-growing sector, where Data Scientists are in high demand and companies give us everything we need to fill their jobs.

At Data Science Talent, we’re not just about finding the right candidates for the right client – we want to find the right people to nurture and grow our business, too.

What’s the role?

The main business objective is to grow and maintain a contract-to-perm split result of approximately 80:20.

Reporting to the CEO, you’ll be responsible for driving these results by upholding high standards, maintaining team harmony and ensuring follow-through.

The recruitment delivery team facilitates the recruitment process lifecycle, which happens after the project has been sold to the client by sales and marketing.

Although the process includes current client management, you won’t be generating new company leads or approaches to secure new hiring managers within existing clients – leave that to the sales and marketing team.

Working in a non-billing position, you’ll take on 3-4 jobs in your first quarter to understand our unique approach. After this, you’ll want to work one job each quarter to make sure you know what is – and what isn’t – working for your team.

About the business

Since 2016, we’ve built a strong reputation for our professionalism, working intensely with a select number of clients to successfully place qualified, accomplished data scientists.

In contrast to the often frantic, rivalrous world of recruitment, our culture is built on support. Support for your development, support for your colleagues and support from the CEO.

Join Data Science Talent, and you’ll be working in an exploding sector for a business devoted to helping people develop. Professionally and personally.

What you’ll add

You’ll have proven experience of managing recruitment delivery teams in candidate-scarce disciplines, working across both permanent and contract recruitment.

You love the idea of taking a strategy and making it happen. But you’re also happy to suggest how things can be improved.

You’re confident with retained recruitment, guaranteeing delivery to clients who pay us up-front to work on challenging jobs.

And you are committed to assessing candidates at a deeper level than most recruiters.

You’ll also add:

  • High levels of quality assurance with attention to detail.
  • Strong organisation and planning skills, and enjoy holding people accountable.
  • At least 3 years experience in managing and growing recruitment teams of 5 people or more.
  • Capable of identifying where improvements in the delivery team can be made and advising the company owner on how to take these forward.
  • A high performer mentality – we are in the top 1% of companies in our industry based on our average fees earned per employee.
  • A commitment to learning new sourcing strategies and techniques.

You’ll also have good experience in the technology, digital or recruitment sectors.

Additional Benefits

  • Private health care.
  • Onsite electric car charging points.
  • 24 days holiday excluding bank holidays.
  • High-performance MacBook laptop to use.
  • Brand-new, design-led office space.
  • Quarterly incentives.
  • Team lunches and social activities.
  • Free meditation training.
