NOT ACTIVE – Backend Data Engineer (Data Team) – €80-100k
“Backend” needn’t mean “background”. In this newly created role, you’ll be contributing your ideas to help a fast-growing, well-funded medical start-up get the best out of a vast range of medical and marketing data. In doing so, you’ll have a direct impact on products designed to improve healthcare access for millions of Europeans.
This is a new role in a recently created tech team, working alongside two other developers, a product owner and a QA. You’ll be working on platforms that will give millions of patients fast and convenient digital access to diagnosis and medicines.
It’s a refreshingly wide-ranging job. One day, you’ll be building and maintaining secure data pipelines to support customer segmentation and medical research. The next, shaping the structure of data models or sharpening data compliance.
You’ll be helping to leverage a vast amount of medical and marketing data to directly impact products – for example writing microservices that provide real-time personalised recommendations for patients. Yes, this is a backend role but you’ll never be stuck in the background.
There are compelling reasons to take on this role:
MEANING – Use your backend and data engineering skills to create products that enable millions of adults to enjoy healthy lives.
DEVELOPMENT – You’ll be working for a CTO who’s recently joined from a similar start-up where they grew the team from 10-300.
FLEXIBILITY – Beyond attending essential meetings (or maybe one of the regular social events) it’s entirely up to you how often you travel to the office in Munich..
The business itself is a huge draw too. This is a highly credible medical start-up with a Medical Board comprising respected clinicians from more than a dozen disciplines – this has enabled them to attract significant funding. In the last twelve months, they’ve grown their turnover by 400% and expanded the team to 40+ people.
The culture is collaborative and driven, with a hands-on leadership team. You’ll feel encouraged to go way beyond your job description here; to think proactively and contribute new ideas. In turn, you’ll see the impact of your work on the future of the business.
